Welcome to my corner of chaos—where farm boots meet burnout recovery.
A place for us to talk about how to manage the mind, body, and everything in between.
Why I’m launching Farm Boots & Burnout
I didn’t plan on creating another thing. If anything, I was trying to hold together all the things I already had:
A family. A nonprofit farm rescue. A full-time job. A part-time job. Three kids with multiple basketball and young adult schedules. A bulldog with a backstory. Oh, and my own body, which apparently decided a heart attack at 42, was a great plot twist.
But somewhere between the barn chores, Zoom meetings, and reheated coffee, I realized something: I wasn’t the only one living this beautiful, brutal, burnout-prone life. And I didn’t see a space that really talked about what it’s like to do it all—and what it costs you when you try.
So, I made one.
Farm Boots & Burnout is a space for the overworked, the under-caffeinated, the passionate and the exhausted. It’s for the women who love their lives deeply but still dream of hiding in the bathroom to scroll Amazon in peace. (No judgment—I’ll even tell you what’s in my cart.)
Here you’ll find:
Real-life stories about burnout and recovery, with no sugarcoating
Farm updates and animal rescue chaos
Tools that help me survive motherhood, nonprofit life, and perimenopause
Product reviews for the stuff that actually makes life easier
A whole lot of humor, honesty, and heart
A little health education…just for fun
This isn’t about pretending I have it all together. It’s about telling the truth—and maybe helping someone else feel a little less alone in the mud.
Thanks for being here. Let’s walk through the mess together.
~Natalie

I’m Natalie—busy mom, nurse, founder of a nonprofit farm rescue, and lover of English bulldogs (Maximus, my rescue pup, will definitely make an appearance). I juggle a lot, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Except… sometimes, I wish I could take a shower without someone yelling my name. Sound familiar?
This space is for the women who are juggling all the things—family, work, [farm] life, and everything in between—while trying to hold onto their sanity (and maybe their coffee). It’s real talk, product reviews, and a whole lot of heart. You’ll find tools and stories that help me survive this wild life, with a healthy dose of humor. Because if we can’t laugh about it, we’re in trouble.
